2010 Touch-A-Truck Logo Contest Winners

Young Leaders’ Touch-A-Truck Logo Design Contest Receives 113 Entries

6-year-old’s dump truck named winner

Six-year-old Edyan Serrano likes to draw trucks. His drawing of a dump truck, his favorite vehicle, was selected as the winner of the United Way of Dutchess County’s Young Leaders United’s 2nd Annual Touch-A-Truck logo design contest.

The G. W. Krieger Elementary School kindergartener’s logo design was chosen from 113 entries of truck drawings submitted by kindergartners to fifth graders representing 19 schools in Dutchess County.

Serrano’s dump truck will be featured on all Touch-A-Truck promotional material including tickets and t-shirts for the event which will be held from noon to 5 p.m. June 6 at the Dutchess County Fairgrounds in Rhinebeck.

Finalists in the logo contest were chosen by grade level and then a winner selected from that group by Young Leaders United. Their designs will be displayed in a special exhibit at the Touch-A-Truck event. Finalists at each grade level are:

Bryan LaVeiga-Arroyo, kindergarten, W. W. Smith Humanities Magnet School, Poughkeepsie

Luis Ramos Saavedra, first grade, S.F.B. Morse Magnet School, Poughkeepsie
