United Way of Dutchess County kicked-off its 2007 campaign on Friday, September 7, at 7:30 a.m. at
the Grandview in Poughkeepsie. An enthusiastic audience joined Campaign Chair Michael Graham, and Vice Chair Sheila Appel of IBM as we inaugurated our 2007 campaign to make measurable differences in people's lives through our Community Fund.

Geoffrey Canada, President and CEO of the Harlem Children's Zone in New York City, was the keynote speaker at the event. Mr. Canada lead the event with contagious enthusiasm through his passion for preparing young children for sucess. Thank you Geoff for a truly captivating address!
