What is YOUNG LEADERS UNITED?
The mission of Young Leaders United is to support the work of United Way of Dutchess County and foster a spirit of community involvement among the next generation of leaders. It is our goal to inspire advocacy, philanthropy and volunteerism in Dutchess County.
Young Leaders United provides a variety of opportunities to meet other individuals with similar professional and community interests. Members of United Way of Dutchess County Young Leaders United are committed, compassionate and generous individuals who are dedicated to making a positive impact throughout our community.

What can the YOUNG LEADERS UNITED offer me?
Young Leaders United focuses on four aspects, so you’ll be sure to reap rewards even while giving.
- Educate.
Young Leaders members learn about our community’s most pressing needs and the specific partnerships that address them. Young Leaders United can be an eye-opening experience that helps you to understand the issues facing thousands in our community. - Serve.
Young Leaders United is engaged in supporting United Way’s key community impact strategies which unclude providing basic needs, promoting financial stability and preparing young children for success. - Outreach.
In addition to actively serving the community, Young Leaders United reach out to other organizations, and have the ability to help in furthering United Way’s key community impact strategies. - Grow.
Through Young Leaders United you can develop personally and professionally by participating in a number of events that focus on fundraising and volunteering as well as networking.
This unique and dynamic group offers its members many ways to become involved in making a difference in people's lives in Dutchess County. Young Leaders United works closely with United Way staff and board members to identify volunteer and fundraising opportunities that resonate with our group interests. In addition, by affiliating with the Young Leaders United, members are provided with valuable networking and leadership-related events.
The opportunity to participate in a variety of social, networking and business related events is by invitation-only. Regular updates on issues in our community and activities of United Way are provided. Membership recognition, if desired, is available in select marketing and promotional materials. Through Young Leaders United, members will interact with other important local leaders and be a part of addressing the issues that matter most in our community.
Who can become a member of the YOUNG LEADERS SOCIETY?
Community- oriented individuals or couples under 40 can participate by contributing an annual gift of $250 or more to the Community Fund. (or by contributing an in-kind gift of property or service to United Way of at least $250.) Event participation and volunteering is entirely up to your schedule.
