Touch-A-Truck United Way of Dutchess County

What child doesn’t dream about getting behind the wheel of a fire truck, an ambulance, a construction crane, or a tow truck? Touch-A-Truck makes their wildest dreams come true! Children and adults can see, touch and learn about a variety of vehicles and how they operate at the family-friendly event that allows children, ages 2 to 12, their parents and guests to see, touch, and learn about a wide variety of vehicles.

Last year 1,500 people had fun at Touch-A-Truck while raising $10,000 for the United Way Community Fund!

The event also provided a free showcase of activities including child car seat checks, child IDs, fire safety tips and an opportunity for parents to learn how to help young children reach their developmental milestones and prepare them for future success.

We look forward to your participation in this year’s Touch-A-Truck event. Tickets are $5.00 online and at the door.

Want to submit a drawing? Our Logo Contest is open to children grades K-5 in Dutchess County. Download the form for rules and submission information. The winning logo will be used on promotional materials for this year's event. Entries will be displayed at the event. Deadline for submissions is March 15, 2010.

Want to bring a vehicle?

We are looking for vehicles of all types at this event. It is free to join, and you may bring as many vehicles as you have volunteers to staff them for the day. Download our Vehicle Recruitment Package for information and commitment forms.

Sponsorship Opportunities

Touch-A-Truck is being promoted county-wide to families in Dutchess County with an anticipated turn-out of more than 2,000 attendees.
